Heesun Shin


born in Korea.

She was a top prize winner at the Sion International Competition in Switzerland, Dichler Competition in Vienna, William Waite competition at Yale. She has appeared as a soloist with the National Symphony of Lithuania under Schlomo Mintz, Yale Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic, and has served as the concertmaster and associate concertmaster of Yale Symphony Orchestra, and Aspen Academy of Conducting Orchestra.

Ms. Shin studied with Dorothy DeLay and Hyo Kang at the Juilliard School pre-college division. She spent two years in Vienna studying with Edward Zienkowski at the University of Music, she received a master degree from the Juilliard School and is currently an Enhanced Chancellor’s Fellow doctoral student at CUNY.  She also teaches at Queens College.
