Violinist Jeehae Lee joined the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in September 2008. Prior to joining the Met, Ms. Lee was a substitute violinist with New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. She also has served as concertmaster and principal second violin of Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Orchestra, Juilliard Pre-College Symphony and Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra, and held orchestral fellowship for three consecutive summers at Aspen Music FestivalHall.
She also has given chamber performances at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie.

Ms. Lee began playing the piano at age three and violin at six. Winning the junior division of Korea Times Competition at age nine, she received numerous prizes in Korea prior to moving to the U.S. at age fifteen. In addition to her career as a violinist, Ms. Lee has pursued her academic interests at University of Pennsylvania and is an avid collaborative artist on the piano. She holds a bachelor's degree from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Dorothy DeLay, Won-Bin Yim and Ronald Copes.
