Gail Kruvand

Ms. Kruvand has been a participant in the Marlboro and Aspen Music Festivals. In addition to being a member of the New York City Opera Orchestra since 1991, she is Principal Bass of the American Composers Orchestra, the Opera Orchestra of New York and the Riverside Symphony. As a recording artist, she can be heard on Sony, Bridge and New World Records in repertoire ranging from Hindemith to Whitney Houston. Ms. Kruvand is an adjunct professor at New York University.
She began her musical studies with Henry Loew and upon completion of a Bachelor of Music degree at Indiana University she had further coaching in New York with Julius Levine.
