Anna Povich de Mayor
Flutist
born in the United States.
Anna has done extensive work as chamber musician including masterclasses and performances throughout Australia with her former group the New York Harp Trio, and concerts with her flute quartet "the New York Flute Quartet" formerly known as; Femmes Four including a UN World Peace event in China in 2012. She works extensively with her husband, Colombian composer and jazz pianist Pablo Mayor, and his project "Folklore Urbano." She freelances throughout the NYC area, and has worked with such organizations as Carnegie Hall (Musical Connections program and Neighborhood Concerts programs), Associated Solo Artists Adirondack teaching artist program, the 92nd St Y (Musical Introduction Series), the American Composers Orchestra/VIA's outreach programs, and Chamber Music America .
Anna holds both an MM and a DMA in flute performance from SUNY Stony Brook and a BM from the University of North Texas.
