Sheila Browne:  American-Irish violist, recording artist, and professor at The University of North Carolina School of the Arts and New York University, Steinhardt School. Ms. Browne has given solo and chamber music concerts in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East. She currently serves on the Executive Board of The America Viola Society and teaches at California Summer Music Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival and Viva Virginia. Ms. Browne was the violist of The Gotham and Arianna string quartets, the only viola solo finalist at the 2004 Pro Musici International Solo Awards, and was featured by Michael Tilson-Thomas while principal of The New World Symphony in the PBS Documentary, "Beethoven Alive.” Ms Browne studied viola with Karen Tuttle at The Juilliard School.
